Data Governance is the core of Data Management and it is focused on how processes should be and  how people should behave respect to corporate data assets.
Often the needs of Business Intelligence or the issues revealed by data management professionals in various knowledge areas require joint effort and a coordinated intervention supported by a governance framework.
This is the specific responsibility of Data Governance Professionals as described in the DAMA DMBoK.

The course addresses the fundamentals of Data Governance as defined in the DAMA International standard Data Management Body of Knowledge 2nd edition.
It is designed for individuals professional development to achieve a Professional Certification, introducing the participants to prepare the CDMP specialist exam.

The course allows participants to familiarise themselves with the needs and benefits of effective Data Governance, governance tools and expected results, the various organisational structures and governance roles and responsibilities, as well as metrics to measure performance and ensure a successful data governance program.

In addition, the course was designed to provide the tools and a structured method to successfully face the Data Governance Specialist CDMP exam by DAMA International.
